February 2nd is almost upon us--and my fingers are crossed that the groundhog comes out to read CITY OF DRAGONS. :)

I'm about to embark on a West Coast tour -- Seattle, Portland, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Scottdale. We'll be closing out with an afternoon Valentine's Day party at Poisoned Pen on the 14th.

The 14th itself is not only Valentine's Day, but Chinese New Year (Year of the Tiger) and the 80th anniversary of the publication of The Maltese Falcon ... all of which play a significant role in CITY OF DRAGONS.

Below is a list of where I'll be signing outside the San Francisco Bay Area. For events within the Bay Area, please check my website at http://www.kellistanley.com/Events.html. I'm hoping some CrimeSpace denizens can join me for the launch parties!

Wednesday, February 3rd, 12 noon, Seattle Mystery Bookstore, Seattle
Thursday, February 4th, 7 PM, Murder by the Book, Portland
Thursday, February 11, 2 PM, Mysteries to Die For, Thousand Oaks
Thursday, February 11, 7 PM, The Mystery Bookstore, Los Angeles
Friday, February 12, 7 PM, Mysterious Galaxy, San Diego
Sunday, February 14, 2 PM, Poisoned Pen, Scottsdale

In addition, I'll be attending Left Coast Crime in Los Angeles, and will be holding a signing at Book Soup on Sunset Boulevard the first evening, Thursday, March 11, at 7 PM.

Also in March, I'll be signing books at the Public Library Association National Conference in Portland (Wednesday, March 24) and afterward reading and signing at Powell's (Cedar Hill) at 7 PM.

Here's to a successful 2010 for the crime fiction community!

And on a sad note, today, January 19th, is a time to bow our heads at the passing of one of our greatest writers and people. Robert B. Parker--whom I so wish I had the chance to thank in person, not only for blurbing my book, but for many, many hours of pure reading pleasure and a lifetime of inspiration. He is much missed.
