Hi everyone my name is Tony Bertot and I am the author of The Heart of an Assassin and The Birth of an Assassin.

I would like to take this opportunity to address a question I am constantly being asked by both friends and family;

"How do I keep track of all of the characters?"

In response I have created, three excel spreadsheets;

As I am writing and I use a character name for the first time I enter his/her name and characteristics such as height, weight, complexion and age as well as their position in the
storyline into the first spreadsheet.

I also enter the character’s name in the second list, which is in alphabetical order, and list their age across the years encompassed by the story. In
my Assassin trilogy, we span the years from 1942 to 1984 with the relevant
years being 1942, 1957, 1964, and 1984.

The third and final spreadsheet lists the chapters by name, where it left off, and in which chapter it is picked up again.

These spreadsheets make it easier to follow the characters and the story as it develops.
