Meet Me This Weekend at Malice Domestic!

I'll spend next weekend surrounded by mystery fans at Malice Domestic. Since 1989, Malice Domestic has been an annual fan convention near Washington, D.C., saluting the traditional mystery—books best typified by the works of Agatha Christie. The genre is loosely defined as mysteries which contain no explicit sex or excessive gore or violence. Attendees will meet dozens of authors, including guest of honor Parnell Hall, and toastmaster Rhys Bowen. They'll also see Mary Higgins Clark receive a lifetime achievement award!

In recent years the audience for the convention has broadened to the point that they even welcome hardboiled private eyes like Hannibal Jones, since my novels do meet the important points in their definition.

Malice Domestic kicks off Friday with the Malice-Go-Round event at
10 am. I will be one of the authors at that event, introducing my latest book to a room full of mystery fans one-on-one, speed-dating style. I'll just be a fan the rest of the day and Saturday. Then Sunday I will be on a panel called "Thrills and Chills: Books That Take You on a Wild Ride" at 10:20 am. If you're a mystery lover, you'll want to join us in the Crystal Gateway Marriott Hotel, 1700 Jefferson Davis Highway, Arlington VA. Check all the details at http://www.malicedomestic.org/
