Good day everyone! I'm finally starting to use Crimespace as it is intended- by contributing a blog and participating. I can use the excuse that I've been very busy lately (it's true!) though that really isn't an excuse. I hope to be more active here in the future!

I would like to announce that I have finished my third book and it is currently at my publisher being edited. I expect it to be released in about 3 or 4 months in electronic format, then in print shortly after that. In the meantime, I am hard at work on my 4th book.

The 3rd book is entitled Diplomatic Immunity and is the 3rd of the Vincent Torelli series. Torelli is the protagonist in my first book, M.P., A Novel of Vietnam, which is the story of a young man who is drafted into the army in 1967, goes through Military Police training and is assigned to Vietnam with the 557th MP Company. It is the story of what he went through during his year tour of duty. Based in part on my personal experiences (I was with the 557th MP Company at Long Binh, Vietnam from Jan.1970 thru Dec. 1970), it is a work of fiction. What I have done I is give the readers a clear understanding of what the mission of the Military Police was in Vietnam. The next two Torelli books have him as a homicide inspector with the San Francisco Police Department. Excerpts are available at my website- www.jschembra.com. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoyed writing them. Take care, and KEEP WRITING!

Wishing you success with the book. It is a unique perspective you've incorporated there. I'm going to see if I can find your first and second. And him making the transition to a homicide inspector with the police department sounds even more interesting. Keep us posted, okay?
