Opeining lines to 'Murderous Passions' on my blog

Over on my blog I've put up the opening lines to 'Murderous Passions.' The first Turner/Frank novel of mine. If you haven't taken a look at the novel, go over and check it out. You can post a remark (using an alias, of course) and tell me what's all wrong with it. Or. . . . miracles behold! . . . . you might find you like it.

In my other posts I've started a little discusson on the difference between 'noir' and 'hard-boiled' styles in writing. . . stealing of course, a few ideas from out of here. As all writers do. I'm a bit ambivalent on the definitions currently used. I'm to the point, frankly, in thinking the two are interchangeable. They both mean the same.

On that more blogs are coming, I'm sure.

That's my general impression, Donna. Two ways to say the same thing.

I tend to use "hard-boiled" and "noir" interchangeably. That's probably wrong, but they are the same in my mind. B.R., I think you could describe this work as either/or -- it does have the feel of the old-style detective that many of us grew up loving. Keep up the good work!
