'Requiem for the Ripper' now available in Paperback

Hey everyone. Now I'm really, really excited, because the final part of my Jack the Ripper trilogy, Requiem for the Ripper is at last available in paperback as well as in e-book format. the book can be found at Amazon.com and at the publisher's site, at Double Dragon Publishing where the book can be obtained in multiple e-book formats. I hope those who enjoyed the first two books in the trilogy will enjoy this final episode too.

Requiem for the Ripper

Criminal psychologist David Hemswell receives a desperate call from a worried man. William Forbes, former solicitor to serial killer Jack Reid
believes himself to be threatened by the living soul of the notorious
Victorian enigma, Jack the Ripper. Convinced that Reid was a descendant
of the Ripper and that the evil that first entered the current era
through the inheritance of the Ripper's journal by psychiatrist Robert
Cavendish, Forbes turns to Hemswell as his last hope to free himself
from the demons he believes are pursuing him. Forbes travels to Skerries
Rock, David Hemswell's private island home off the bleak, barren west
coast of Cape Wrath, Scotland, where Hemswell soon realises that there
is much about his visitor that is disquieting and frightening. Hemswell
summons help in the form of paranormal investigator Kate Goddard, and
together, the pair attempt to free Forbes of whatever strange phenomenon
has assaulted his mind. As their investigation gathers pace, however,
they soon begin to believe that the three of them are not alone on the
tiny island. Has the soul of Jack the Ripper found a way to encroach
upon the present day? Is William Forbes the living embodiment of The
Ripper, or is he too a victim of the curse that appears to have been
handed down across time by the unfortunate Cavendish family? As time
begins to run out, and the danger surrounding them grows ever stronger
by the second, David Hemswell must face his own demons and is faced with
the most terrible decision of his life, as the story that began with A
Study in Red - The Secret Journal of Jack the Ripper and continued in
Legacy of the Ripper reaches its shattering and terrifying conclusion!

A Review

5.0 out of 5 stars Jaw-dropping suspense as this gem completes the Ripper triology!,
This review is from: Requiem for the Ripper (Kindle Edition)

This excellent novel completes the Jack the Ripper triology which began
with A Study in Red-the Secret Journal of Jack the Ripper, followed by
Legacy of the Ripper.

Now in Requiem for the Ripper, we meet Dr. David Hemswell, a well-respected criminal psychologist, who lives on isolated, wind-swept
Skerries Island off the coast of Scotland.

Hemswell receives a telephone call one day from William Forbes, formerly a solicitor to serial killer Jack Reid.

Jack Reid first appeared in A Study in Red and then appeared incarcerated (for his crimes) in Legacy of the Ripper.

Forbes arrives looking desperate. He tells Hemswell that demons are after him. And from the way things look, it seems to be true!

That is the start of the fast-paced exciting novel that Mr. Porter has written which contains one vivid, jaw-dropping scene after another.
My hand shook as I turned the page to read onto the next chapter! And
I'm not joking! It's almost too much!

Forbes isn't there long when Hemswell decides to call his friend Kate Goddard, a paranormal investigator of distinction. If anyone can
sort through this supernatural element (an area that Hemswell is unsure
of), it's his old friend Kate. Kate soon arrives.

Forbes' on-going torment is almost too horrible to bear, for soon the haunting evil is all around as Hemswell himself begins to suffer.

A particularly electrifying moment is when Hemswell hears a haunting tune--from nowhere it seems. Through Kate they will track down what
this tune is and discover to their utter horror that it leads right back
to one of the Ripper's victims!

I found this to be a terrifying read as secrets and shocks are revealed along the way.

But fear not! All will be revealed as the shattering truth of what kind of evil is afoot and what sad irony results from it.

I found the end truly thought-provoking. It's just that sort of book that thrills, shocks and leaves the reader feeling disquieted and
chilled.

A must read!
