If you are on the hunt for a thrilling new crime book to add to your collection, then you will pleased to find ten of the best new releases for 2013 listed below.

From a new offering by 'Da Vinci Code's Dan Brown, to murder in a bakery kitchen - there is something for everyone. So why not get planning your next reading list right now?

1. Dan Brown - 'Inferno'

Yep it's the one you've all been waiting for... another release from Dan Brown - the man behind the likes of 'The Da Vinci Code', 'Angels & Demons' and 'The Lost Symbol'. Brown sticks with what he knows, with the book featuring his usual topics of ancient mystery and international intrigue. This time set in Italy, Harvard professor Robert Langdon battles with a riddle that leaves his wondering who in the world he can trust. The book is scheduled for release in May.

2. G.A McKevett - 'Killer Honeymoon'

It's every women's dream to get married and jet off on a beautiful sunshine honeymoon. However most ladies wouldn't fare well to witnessing a murder whilst sipping their strawberry daiquiri. If you want a beach read with a twist, then definitely opt for this thriller which will leave you shaking in your swimming cossie. Set for release in March.

3. Joanne Fluke - 'Red Velvet Cupcake Murder'

Didn't think you could get a much safer topic than cakes? Well you were wrong, as baker Hannah Swensen finds it is left frosting and more cold-blooded murder in her Minnesota bakery. All you 'alternative baking' fans won't have long to wait either as the book is due out in February.  

4. Stephen King - 'Doctor Sleep' 

Possibly the master of crime, you can't go wrong with a Stephen King book. If you are a fan of the author's novels, then you are bound to love his latest tale about some rather creepy inhabitants of The Overlook Hotel. The book is based on characters from one of King's best-known books, 'The Shining', so if you enjoyed that, this is definitely one for you. The book is due for release in September.

5. Randy Wayne White - 'Night Moves'

This latest offering by the New York Best Selling author is based on Doctor Who is at the centre of a murder attempt. With plan crashes, near-poisonings and explosions, this is definitely a book that will get your pulse racing. You can get your hands on the book at the start of March.

6. Loren D. Estleman - 'Alive!'

When film archivist Valentino get his hands on never-before-seen footage of Bella Lugosi's Frankenstein, he doesn't realise he's going to end up in a horror story of his own, with some people willing to kill for the film footage. Strange and captivating, this is a book for people who love anything surreal. Future fans can purchase the book in April.

7. Phillip Margolin - 'Sleight Of Hand: A Novel of Suspense'

From the best-selling author of novels, 'Capitol Murder' and 'Supreme Justice', this book, out in April, follows a private investigator who must take down a psychopath to pull off the perfect crime. Based on a marriage that gets messy, don't read this if you are going through relationship problems as it might scare you for life!

8. Stephen King - Joyland

Another offering by King, this book out in the summer, features the creepy goings-on which happen in a 1973 amusement park. Student Devin Jones who comes to work at the park, finds his fate changes forever after the death of a small child. The book has been described as "heartbreaking" and "beautiful" by critics.
