A number of crises in the last week caused me to put in lots of extra hours at the day job. Senior leaders catch heat when things go wrong, but life heats up for those of us in the public affairs business with any news, good or bad. The winds of political change and beaurocratic response blow unevenly.

I've learned that whatever hits the fan will not be evenly distributed.
