At the beginning of February I announced that I'd dedicate the month to questions, since I'm traveling and they're short and fairly easy. It's hard to believe this is the last one, but Monday is March.

So the last question to reflect on is if you were forced to return to an earlier age (let's say at least 100 years ago), what would you choose?

I love certain eras for reading about, but that doesn't mean I'd be comfortable living there. I guess I'd look for something fairly peaceful, definitely not the eras I write about.

Yeah, somebody I know is anxious to get at that frozen pipe!

A Georgia snowstorm? Talk about timing. We had a frost this morning, almost unheard of in March around these parts. Ruth & I had just cut back the frost-dead stuff the weekend prior. And, planted a new Camellia bush.

I missed you at the party. I must have lingered longer than I thought. I left right after breakfast on Sunday morning. Have a safe trip the remainder of the way.

How could I forget the highlight of Sleuthfest? Good to hear from you. The HNS Con will be held June 12-14, 2009, at the Hyatt Regency Woodfield in Schaumburg, IL, in Chicago's northwest suburbs near O'Hare. Registration deadline is May 22, 2009, or when our limit of 300 attendees is reached. Check out the infor at http://www.historicalnovelsociety.org/conference.htm. My panel is on historical dialogue.
We had to drive through a Georgia snowstorm, but we'll hit Michigan this morning.

Hey, Linda! Great to hear from you. I'll be down this June for the Historical Novel Society Con and am considering Bouchercon in the fall.

Hey Peg. I refuse to go back before the days of indoor plumbing. Every time I watch or read about an earlier era, I think about the facilities or lack thereof. I am greatly blessed to have what I have - a bathroom inside the house with hot running water. That alone keeps my feet firmly planted in modern times.
