It doesn't matter if we're writing a book, short story, email or note to Aunt Hilda. The danger of using the wrong form of a word lurks. Spell Check won't catch it if it's a "real" word and just means something else.

Mike Dennis and I have developed a proposal for a book called "You Don't Say" dealing with all of the strange aspects of the English language. I decided to have a little fun with the wrong word syndrome today. Check it out. Do you have favorites? Add them to the comment box at the end of the article.

Our wonderful cover is courtesy of Scott Garrett, a very popular and talented British illustrator. Visit: www.garrettworld.co.uk to see more of his work.
