Two more 5-star reviews for 'Dracula Doesn't Live Here Anymore'

The paperback edition of my short novelette, Dracula Doesn't Live Hre Anymore' (Eternal Press) has picked up two more excellent reviews at the Amazon.com website and I'd like to share them here if I may:

Dracula Doesn't Live Here Anymore, April 8, 2009

This is an extremely engaging tale. While it is a short piece, you still get to know the principal characters remarkably well. First, you have the freelance reporter, Dexter, sent on assignment from London to Rumania to investigate and report on five brutal murders. Then, there's his local contact, Christina, a bewitchingly beautiful journalist, whose familiarity with local legends borders on the bizarre.

Dexter knows there is so much more to the story, and Christina, than appears on the surface, but he desparately seeks the comfort and safety of a 'logical' outcome. Who is Christina, and what role does she play in Dexter's life and the horrific murders that have occurred?

You'll have to read it to find out, and I guarantee, when it's finished, you will only want more. This story takes you on a thrill ride in the dark of night; one you won't want to end. Nothing less than five stars will do for this one

Dracula Doesn't Live Here Anymore

Written by: Brian L. Porter

Dracula Doesn't Live Here Anymore is a novella written by the master of suspense and science fiction, Brian L. Porter. A page-turner that keeps you guessing until the very last page.

Alan Dexter is sent by his editor to investigate the vampire murders in Rumania. His job was to uncover the truth behind this ghastly murders and file his story when he went back home to England. Greeting him at his hotel was Christina a journalist with a past so deeply by the author in this amazing story, that you never see it coming until turn and read the last page.

Thinking that they were teaming up to solve these murders, Alan becomes entranced with the beautiful Christina and falls for her and believes the convincing story she relates to him about why and how these murders might have been committed. Christina's vast knowledge of the history of Romanian lore as she describes what she wants Alan to believe, adds to her mystique, and convinces the love struck Alan to continue working with her without question.

When Alan has a dream about vampires and other events related to these murders, he comes up with a theory in his mind, as to why and how these murders occurred. Someone killed five men and drained their bodies of all of the blood. He came up with theory that these men might have been killed in order to supply hospitals and blood banks with needed blood if there was a shortage. He concluded that these men were killed to supply the blood banks or hospitals that needed to perform blood transfusions.

Claiming that she would relate this story to her cousin, Alex, who works for the local police, he is convinced that the case has been solved and he can leave Romania and file his story with his editor.

What is the truth behind these murders? What is her reason for wanting to help him solve the case quickly and return home to England? What are her true feelings for him? Perhaps we will find out one day.

Read this amazing novella that cries for a sequel to see what would happen if Alex returns to Romania to find Christina and rekindle their romance.
This book gets five stars and of course five vampire bites.
