Who Whacked The Blogger? Benjamin Sobieck/ Giovanni "The G-Man" Gelati

This friend is way too much fun! I have gotten a chance thus far to be a part of some very serious brain storming, incredible writing, and deadly execution by some really nice, talented authors. The latest release “Who Whacked the Blogger” just made me take a step back and gasp in awe as Benjamin Sobieck just gave birth to a new, intensely funny character that I hope to get to read for a long time: Maynard Soloman. I can’t do justice to the man’s riffs. His prose in this is just amazing, captivating, and so dead on it is uncanny. Here is what we have going on in this installment:

“The Author's Lab/Collaboration continues with Benjamin Sobieck and Giovanni "The G-Man" Gelati in "Who Whacked the Blogger".  Sobieck introduces us to a new character in this edition named Maynard Soloman. Maynard is an old-time detective with the old-time gumshoe vernacular to back it up. The story this time revolves around whoopie pies, cow tongue, a thong, an RV and another new character Lawyer Larry Labipshitz. Are you ready to laugh, again?

Benjamin Sobieck is the author of "Cleansing Eden". His professional journalism career spans newspapers, magazines, television, websites and books. Sobieck is currently an online editor for a group of national outdoor’s magazines and one television show. He has a degree in journalism and a minor in creative writing from St. Cloud State University, Minnesota. He and his wife reside in Minnesota.

Giovanni "The G-Man" Gelati is the co-author of "Down Low- Dead" with Vincent Zandri, "The Jersey Shore Has Eyes" with Big Daddy Abel", "G.S.I Gelati's Scoop Investigations Psychotic Detectives" with Thomas White, and "Who Whacked The Blogger" with Benjamin Sobieck. He also has a blog called "Gelati's Scoop" and a blogtalk radio show called "The G-ZONE". He resides in Levittown, Pa. with his very beautiful and understanding wife, eight children, and two grandchildren. “

To give you some hints about the storyline: Harry Balls is back, but in a very small capacity, Maynard is the man in this one. The Lawyer is brought into this as a bit of an introduction into what goes down in the next installment, “Thad and The G-Man’s Most Awesome Adventure”. Thad Brown of the Smoking Gun Sisterhood fame is my collaborator. For those of you just coming into this - The Author’s Lab/Collaborations –we are on the fourth installment thus far and I am actively working on 17 more as I write this: each with a different author, different genres, and different story lines. The one thing I am trying to keep at a constant though is a string of characters like Harry Balls, Mrs. Gelati, Lawyer Larry, and a few more along the way. I don’t want to spoil anything for anybody, so mum’s the word. The stories are finding a nice audience, thanks much. It is nice to get the feedback; it is nice to witness that readers are getting what this experiment is all about, and it is nice to be a part of what actually goes on with the authors when they are in the midst of the hunt.

The authors thus far have grasped the concept, taken it to heart, and ridden the wave of discovery as we have done this. Let’s face it; I am a blogger, someone that reads, not seriously writes. When we get into it, these real writers need to take what I have and make some sense of it, mold the lump of clay and turn it into something they feel is readable, up to their high standards and practices. What has shaken loose thus far is pretty cool. Big Daddy Abel has never done fiction before, he totally grooved on it, and then pounded out his next installment of Open Mic, volume three he was so pumped, and it rules as does “The Jersey Shore Has Eyes”. Vincent Zandri creator of Harry Balls was grooving on what we were doing as he just kept coming at me till we were done. The exchange was amazing and adrenaline filled. I think that that resonates through “ Down Low-Dead”. Thomas White with ‘G.S.I. Gelati’s Scoop Investigation Psychotic Detectives” was nothing short of brilliant as he brought in an extra character himself. And last but not least, with today’s release, Benjamin Sobieck’s Maynard Soloman, gets to be seen and enjoyed by others. Basically my friends, the experiment has worked in spades and the winner here is everybody. The authors take a little something new away for themselves and we as readers get to have some serious fun for less than a buck, a win-win if I have ever seen one. If you haven’t read one yet, please do so, there is not a bummer in the bunch. All of the authors thus far have brought their “A” game as they have read what was done before them, they understand and know the quality that was produced before them. Four are available sale, each one is $.99 download. Feel free to read them on any electronic device you wish. My suggestion, don’t read it on one of those quiet cars on the train, you may get thrown off for laughing out loud too much. If that happens, feel free to share it with them and brighten up their day also. Thanks. Next week, so it is out before the Memorial Day Holiday: “Thad and The G-Man’s Most Awesome Adventure.”

Things have changed around here. Stateham. All the stories are available @ Amazon, Barnes & Nobles and Smashwords. I am also the host of the wildly popular The G-ZONE blogtalk radio show. The most fun part about this series is the different directions everything takes. Yet at the end, everything wraps up nice and tight.
