Absolutely true. Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and sit at the computer becuase I've had a breakthrough in a scene I have been working on. If I wait until later in the day it is either gone or it doesn't make sense anymore. Sometime when I reread what I have written the next day I wonder what i was thinking.<br />

For me it is a daily ritual. I get up at 5 AM and write for at least an hour with the aim of 1,500 words. There may be a good 300-500 words in that exercise but…
