How could I forget doing dishes? That's a mindless activity, and everyone goes away so they don't have to help: peaceful time to think about who's the next to die ... on paper, of course.

Any mindless activity away from the keyboard - that all important post-writing digestion where you step back from the work so that you can see it more clearly - from house/yardwork, showering, go for a walk - but I don't need to leave the house to find quiet time since I live alone.

Yea Michigan! Though, goodness, the UP is certainly vacant. A little too remote for me.<br />

I do a lot of thinking in the car, but mainly when I'm zipping back and forth across the county to and from work. It's a twenty-minute e-way jaunt, pretty low-key driving. I also think when I bake and clean up. Oh, and when I'm laying in bed TRYING to go to SLEEP because it's already 2am and I have to get up in a few hours (shut up brain!) =)
