I agree with you both. Great comments! Yes, the buyers are a group of individuals (for the most part) that treat serial killers like celebrities. What is the purpose to have these items in their possession? Noteriety? To be a part of something or someone famous? This would make a great study.

<p>I'm with Dan. One could make the case in both these instances that the infamy of both killers grows every time an auction occurs. They'd be right on that count, but wrong that it's a bad thing. It's that same infamy that allows for the big donations to charity. You can't have without the other.</p>
