It's the perfect novellist mentality - push yourself on with the belief that what you're writing is incredible then edit it with the kind of eye that pokes holes in its every flaw. Keep at it, I think you sound like just the kind of person to pull it off.

Hi,

thanks for the add. I like you cynical / optimistic outlook, is that glass half-full and half-empty at the same time... that's two x .5 glasses, does that add up to one whole glass? Not sure that's logical but think you may be better off than most!

Cheers, Alison

Mr. Z is your agent? Or is that Simon? Whatever. Wow. I'd say it's just a matter of time.

what is it just after 11 pm where you are? it's so early here, I can hardly see yet. I make brekkies for husband and myself and then take dogs out--this all gets the juices going so my eyes work, I can breathe--etc.
all the best lynn.

Hi LJ
Editing Stiletto is a 3 times a year love job. I wish it was my part0time job job because it'd be a great way to support my crime writing - if I was being paid for it.

Hey, LJ. Thanks...An BTW, I wasted almost three decades not studying craft, not showing my work to anyone, not belonging to a critique group. Bet you're smarter than me, right?

It seems to me with all the other 'stuff' we have to deal with in life. Why waste our energy on negative thoughts. We all have our baggage, some less some more than others. I just like to always look for the sparkle in everyone. It may be a perfect eyebrow, it may be your long fingers, and it may be your Gold tooth. But it's there in everyone. smiles.

I'm working real hard at not having a job. My boss would say I'm halfway there at this point. ... My current WIP will be done by the end of March-- the first draft at least. Currently, I'm moving and living in and out of boxes, so I've been spending a lot of quality time here online. Yay! Cheers. CKing

Survey question for anyone who'd like to participate:
Are you a full-time writer or do you have an outside job?

Thanks for the friend invite and the encouragement, LJ. Good luck with your projects, as well. Reading your profile reminds me of something I said to a friend once. A cynic is an idealist in a protective wrapper.

Of course, you're quite welcome. Anything else you might need, I'm ready to help -- or try.
All the Best,

Oh, if you're a stand up comic, here's a gag that just hit me last night

A pack of horny frat boys is seated in a low end strip club. When a fat, ancient lady steps into the spotlight, they all start chanting, "Keep it On!"

LJ,
I agree. ..It is a shame that rural Georgia dictates to Atlanta.
I'm still working on my first draft, but have had some good feedback from others. Any advice for a rookie.

Tuttle-Mori agency handled the contracts as a subagent to mine, Philip Spitzer. They're also open to solid pitches through e mail. Ken Mori's the guy. Hope this helps.

Hi LJ,
Read your blog ...it's correct about the Georgia Supreme Court. There are two Georgia's...One is Atlanta and the other is South Georgia. South Georgia controls the political power and dictates to Atlanta which pays for everything.
Looking forward to talking in the future.

Take Care

Except me of course - Kindle free zone around here. The last thing in this world I'll ever get involved in is technology lock down, for anything.
