(laughing) ... always nice to find another SinC hanging out here. I learned to write for the kids by first writing for the President, not kidding. Had to adjust everything to 5th grade reading level. After that, kid's books were easy. I like your notes and discussions on here. Jack, huh? You have me convinced and the next project, I'll put in a Jack. Not sure if he'll fit in the MOOSE MURDERS, though. Thanks for adding me!
Thanks for "friending" me! I hope you like CRAZY SCHOOL, and thanks for wanting to give it a try--so far it seems to be a love it or despise it kind of book. Not a lot of lukewarm reaction....
Hello, L.J. Thanks for the invitation. I'm an editor, but not a writer, and retired from editing last week because I'm tired f em dashes and ellipsis (or is that ellipses?) Your booik looks fascinating, and I do think two things cold sell a book: a great title and a great cover. You seem to have both.
Thanks for the note LJ. I agree there are many great authors here, I hope I can read at least one work from each of them. As of today, I have read 23 novels since the middle of January, it is the only "holic" i subscribe to, I can't wait to take my books to the beach at Lake Erie this summer.
Thanks LJ. Is being a resident of Colorado Springs a good or bad thing? I don't know if I'll be writing mystery any time soon...I'll have to leave that genre up to my uncle, Ed Goldberg.
Good to meet you, LJ. Just picked up a copy of THE SEX CLUB down at the Emerald Coast Writers Conference this past weekend, and I'm looking forward to a great read.
Virtual Tales is relatively new on the publishing scene. I like its 'family' atmosphere. We have a Yahoo group so the authors can share news, whether it's about family or publishing triumphs, bush fires or blizzards. It's nice to feel you know the other authors, to an extent.

I agree. It seems that authors who write about serial killers are just repeating themselves in their attempts to make the killer more outlandish and over the top than the previous one. Dexter actually seems "human" if that's possible given the murders he commits. He at least appears to have some redeeming qualities (and a sense of humor) while recognizing what he is. He kills those who are "evil" or murderers. If you saw the final episodes last season, Dexter did not kill the cop. I thought the writers did a nice job of resolving that problem.

Congratulations on your debut novel as well. It definitely sounds like a book I'd love to read. Michael Hall really makes Dexter a great series and totally different than most novels featuring serial killers, which is a theme, I believe, that has been done to death (no pun intended:)
I also enjoy Bill Maher, John Stewart and Steven Colbert. I'll have to add those shows to the few I actually watch.

yes, I guess that's the spirit. Seeing the lovely cover of your book I wonder whether you have still time on your hands.
The Title ? Do you follow Vicki Hendrick's wake ?
Good luck for your book.

I hope your novel goes well for you.
