Early Endorsements for “A Circle of Souls”
Linda Fairstein, NYT Bestselling Author: "A fascinating debut - this novel takes the reader to the darkest places in the human soul, from a writer with the authenticity to lead us there. A stunning thriller and an important read."
Judge Judy Sheindlin, star of the Judge Judy Show: "The seminal work of this fine author kept me glued to my chair until the adventure was over and the mystery solved. A great read!"
Book Synopsis:
The sleepy town of Newbury, Connecticut, is shocked when a little girl is found brutally murdered. The town s top detective, perplexed by a complete lack of leads, calls in FBI agent Leia Bines, an expert in cases involving children.
Meanwhile, Dr. Peter Gram, a psychiatrist at Newbury s hospital, searches desperately for the cause of seven-year-old Naya Hastings devastating nightmares. Afraid that she might hurt herself in the midst of a torturous episode, Naya s parents have turned to the bright young doctor as their only hope.
The situations confronting Leia and Peter converge when Naya begins drawing chilling images of murder after being bombarded by the disturbing images in her dreams. Amazingly, her sketches are the only clues to the crime that has panicked Newbury residents. Against her better judgment, Leia explores the clues in Naya s crude drawings, only to set off an alarming chain of events.
In this stunning psychological thriller, innocence gives way to evil, and trust lies forgotten in a web of deceit, fear, and murder.
I wonder where some of the letters in my comment to you disappeared to. That turned out marginally literate.
I thought we had met at the mystery writers conference in Nashville. (Killer Nashville) Maybe next time. It is a great conference. I met my new agent there.
As promised I'm just letting you know that 'A Study in Red - The Secret Journal of Jack the Ripper' is now available in paperback from Amazon at http://www.amazon.co.uk/Study-Red-Secret-Journal-Ripper/dp/1554045274/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1202482660&sr=1-1
Historical romance seems to be your favorite. I love your name; perfect for a character in a book: "Harris Channing looked toward the the sea, at the crashing waves, hoping Todd would come back.." Okay, okay. I'll stop.
My book, The Beatitudes, is a paranormal thriller set in New Orleans. It will be out in the fall and I am donating all royalties directly to the New Orleans Public Library Foundation. Libraries support the infrastructure of a great city, so I have started The Beatitudes Network to promote awareness of the importance of public libraries in NOLA.
The blogsite www.beatitudesinneworleans.blogspot.com describes the Network, has excerpts from The Beatitudes, recipes, and more. Merci mille fois. Lyn Lejeune.
Writers, please pass the word…..it’s for a good cause….don’t let the libraries of New Orleans or the US go the way of The Great Library of Alexandria. P.S. just posted an excerpt on my Crimespace page.
Hi Harris- I'm a big Criminal Intent fan as well. I find D'Onofrio riveting, and loved Chris Noth as Logan back in the early 90s. I think it was an inspired decision to bring him onboard as the same character he'd played 16 years previous- so often in entertainment they have to imply the passage of time rather than being able to demonstrate the actuality of it. Mike Logan going to and coming from Staten Island is some heavy actuality.
J.T. Ellison is on this list and she's a fellow Nashvillian (Mary Saums, too). I visited last October to speak to the SinC chapter there. What a great group . . . what a great city.

Now, don't you feel better?

Thank you for the invite. It appears that I added you as friend, accidently removed you and then sent you an invite--all at the blink of an eye.
So what do you write?
