Early Endorsements for “A Circle of Souls”

Linda Fairstein, NYT Bestselling Author: "A fascinating debut - this novel takes the reader to the darkest places in the human soul, from a writer with the authenticity to lead us there. A stunning thriller and an important read."

Judge Judy Sheindlin, star of the Judge Judy Show: "The seminal work of this fine author kept me glued to my chair until the adventure was over and the mystery solved. A great read!"

Book Synopsis:

The sleepy town of Newbury, Connecticut, is shocked when a little girl is found brutally murdered. The town s top detective, perplexed by a complete lack of leads, calls in FBI agent Leia Bines, an expert in cases involving children.

Meanwhile, Dr. Peter Gram, a psychiatrist at Newbury s hospital, searches desperately for the cause of seven-year-old Naya Hastings devastating nightmares. Afraid that she might hurt herself in the midst of a torturous episode, Naya s parents have turned to the bright young doctor as their only hope.

The situations confronting Leia and Peter converge when Naya begins drawing chilling images of murder after being bombarded by the disturbing images in her dreams. Amazingly, her sketches are the only clues to the crime that has panicked Newbury residents. Against her better judgment, Leia explores the clues in Naya s crude drawings, only to set off an alarming chain of events.
In this stunning psychological thriller, innocence gives way to evil, and trust lies forgotten in a web of deceit, fear, and murder.

Great job on the blog, Michael! I can't wait for my own signings to start! You must have been busy lately - we don't hear much from you over on the Debut Authors forum...

Michelle, No BEA. I am signing around S. Florida, then first weekend in June I am in NYC at the Mystery Bookstore, but my signings in the LA area were booked before I knew about ThrillerFest. Next year I should be wiser! I see from you website that you are in the SF area, so I guess we won't meet before. I leave the next day for Florida. Look forward to meeting you and getting your books signed.

Michael-

That sounds great, I'm really looking forward to it! I love sharing events, it's so much easier when there's someone else there to chat with. Will you be at BEA as well?
Talk soon-
Michelle

I've just gotten started promoting our rerelease of Beaufort Falls, and am just beginning to create a little name recognition in this area. It sounds like you actually have a much better in for a signing there with your press kit, especially if you have a small press or larger press publisher. I ran by the other night to take them some bookmarks for a Sisters in Crime/LA Panel we've set up with the local library and happened into the middle of a Jacqueline Winspear Signing, and her banner has been floating by on the main page of the Barnes & Noble site. Keep at it. They do a LOT of signings! I'll be happy to help in any way I can

I will be there! I'm hoping to be scheduling a signing there too sometime in the next few months. Thousand Oaks is an amazing little town. I'm looking forward to meeting you.

Michael,

From one Kerouac fan to another: I had a chance to view the original scroll of ON THE ROAD when it toured through Lowell. Pretty great, especially the stuff he edited out of the published version - lots of autobiographical moments that must've worked their way into his Benzedrine-fueled stream-of-consciousness. Anyway, if you get a chance to see it, I highly recommend it.

Michael, you said:

"Pat, not sure when you were here, but a lot of things have changed, but Sloppy's & the Pier House are here! "

Lived there from 86 to 93 and I've been back within the last five years. Could not believe they'd gentrified Mallory Square! Destroyed it! And there was one of those phony, awful, designer style fake Irish pubs on the street! Hemingway would not like it!

Best, Pat.

Hello Michael,

Great to meet you! I lived in Miami for seven years - now I'm in Connemara - attracted to the edge! I got married in Key West - second time around - and I've imbibed too much just about everywhere from the Pier House to Sloppy Joe's! We love Key West - filled us with memorable times!

Slan go foill,
Pat.

Hi Michael, thank you. I have approachewd literary agencies and publishers in the States, in the past; although not in recent 5 years though! Finances being against me.
Once I'm settled in my new home, and have upgraded my computer and internet connection, then I shall be going all-out in my quest to find a literary agent/publisher, and you can rest assurred that I shall make contact with as many US ones as I can.
My novel Medusa's Curse (although not in the crime genre) does have some elements of criminal activity contained within the storyline, even though it's primarily a horror!
But I shall endeavour to promote the story regardless! Once again, thank you for your interest in my attempts to gain success... very much appreciated.
