Hey Brett,
No problem at all! Actually since I last posted this, I've started reading "The Cleaner". I'm on about page 300 at the mo and I am loving it! Keep in touch because that beer sounds like a great idea!
Yeah, I bought your book, The Cleaner, from our little bookstore and its now at the top of my TBR pile! The 'blurb' sounds really interesting. If it is half as good and Tom Cain's, Accident Man, I know I'll enjoy it!!!
Keep in touch too because we love our crime authors in the store and when the new one comes out, it would be great if you could sign a few copies. We're in Finchley Road, London!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just saying Hi and introducing myself. I had to go online to find out anything about you. Congratulations on the great reviews of your first novel. The best thing about this site: all the great writers. The worst thing: all the great writers, which makes my TBR pile grow at a rate I can't keep up with.
Hi Brett - thanks so much for the invite. I have your book "The Cleaner" on my "to read" list. I work at The Mystery Bookstore and "The Cleaner" was our Discovery Club pick a few months ago. And I believe you're signing with us soon for "Killer Year"???
Thanks for the invite, Brett! I don't think we met at Thrillerfest, did we? Too bad, but I plan to return--next time with a book to hawk! Did you have a good time?
Thanks for you comment on mine about Cormac McCarthy. I first heard of him reading reviews of "No Country for Old Men." He's rumored to be opn the short list for the Nobel Prize for literature.
Did someone mention English ales? Count me in and I'll bring the Plucking Pheasant ale (yes, the tongue-twisting double-entendre is entirely deliberate!) produced by my own local, the Gribble Inn, a proper country pub in Oving, West Sussex. Well worth a visit if you happen to be within, oh, three or four thousand miles ...
