I too have submitted my second novel to Amazon's Thomas & Mercer. That was over two weeks ago.
Congrats on the deal and I wish you much success.
If anyone is looking for links to what Amazon is doing with their Imprints I can forward you the links.
It's going to be the future of publications as it cuts out the Publication Houses. My first novel took over fifteen months to complete the publication cycle. Nothing should take that long!
Jude, I'm particularly interested (and sending even more kudos) because my agent was turned down after T&M expressed great interest earlier in the year. I have a suspicion that my agent mishandled the deal. It may be time for me to look around. You have Joe's agent, right?
I pulled the manuscript and spent about six months on a rewrite. Now it's back with my agent and will be back on submission to editors soon. Thanks for asking!
Hey, Jude.
(Gee, that sounds like something from my past...hmmm.)
Seriously--WTF ever happened to your submission? Is the agent still working it? How about you? Are you writing something else?
Thanks, Karen! I'm thrilled to be a small part of Jack Getze's next release; and, my agent, Jay Poynor, is first-rate. 2007 has been a good year so far!
Wow. All 21 novels. That's great. I don't have all the Travis McGee books yet, but I did get a signed copy of MacDonald's Condominium for Christmas last year. I have quite a nice little collection of signed books.

Congrats on getting an agent. Next step: publication.
Keep writing.
Keep breathing! Oxygen is, you know, good for you. You need some...every day.
