Thanks, David! Darker stuff to come in other short stories and possibly a novel. Between these noir projects and my middle-grade book, I feel like I'm leading a double life.

I most definitely will be there. I won't be able to make the Mystery Bookstore shindig on Friday night, but hope all you out-of-towners as well as in-town folks will be there. The Southern Cal MWA chapter will be cosponsoring, and if I know Prez Les Klinger, there will be a nice spread and, of course, libations.

I'll be moving from booth to booth all weekend, so we'll definitely run into each other, Duane!
