Early Endorsements for “A Circle of Souls”

Linda Fairstein, NYT Bestselling Author: "A fascinating debut - this novel takes the reader to the darkest places in the human soul, from a writer with the authenticity to lead us there. A stunning thriller and an important read."

Judge Judy Sheindlin, star of the Judge Judy Show: "The seminal work of this fine author kept me glued to my chair until the adventure was over and the mystery solved. A great read!"

Book Synopsis:

The sleepy town of Newbury, Connecticut, is shocked when a little girl is found brutally murdered. The town s top detective, perplexed by a complete lack of leads, calls in FBI agent Leia Bines, an expert in cases involving children.

Meanwhile, Dr. Peter Gram, a psychiatrist at Newbury s hospital, searches desperately for the cause of seven-year-old Naya Hastings devastating nightmares. Afraid that she might hurt herself in the midst of a torturous episode, Naya s parents have turned to the bright young doctor as their only hope.

The situations confronting Leia and Peter converge when Naya begins drawing chilling images of murder after being bombarded by the disturbing images in her dreams. Amazingly, her sketches are the only clues to the crime that has panicked Newbury residents. Against her better judgment, Leia explores the clues in Naya s crude drawings, only to set off an alarming chain of events.
In this stunning psychological thriller, innocence gives way to evil, and trust lies forgotten in a web of deceit, fear, and murder.

Hear that sigh of relief? I was afraid I might be the last female Kinky Friedman fan on the planet. :) I'm scheduling a Northwest book tour through Eugene, Portland and Seattle for January. (What better to do than read when it rains?) Perhaps we'll see each other.

Just got my certification as a Washington State PI. (Won't be licensed until I join an agency, tho.) What I did learn in the training: Most of what PIs do in novels would cost them their licenses.

Mt. Rainier is here to keep us humble. Some of us climb it. Some of us try to climb it. A few times a year it devours someone you know, but no one seems to get very upset about that. It's almost as if our community is making ritual sacrifices to a volcano. Except it's a glacier... The volcano is just down the road a bit.

Sorry, Karen. I didn't mean to badmouth Seattle. I loved the Space Needle. But I don't think I've ever actually seen Mt. Rainier. Does it really exist?

You know Karen I don't but I would be more than happy to meet you there if you find out one. We could have a lot of fun!

August, yes... I heard on the news that Oregon is going back up to the 90's again and on Sunday rain, however... the weather man is always wrong! lol

Hi Karen, I noticed you live in Seattle. I live in Oregon, close to Portland in the suburbs. I invite you to come over to my page sometime. The weather has been weird in Oregon... what's up with that?! At least it hasn't got too hot! And we just reseeded and new grass in our back yard so the rain has been wonderful for our wallet! lol

Nice to meet you, and have a great week!
