Hi Luisa...
I grew up in Barrington, Ill, also a suburb of Chicago. Although I have lived in California since entering college ( a billion years ago), in my heart of hearts, I still see myself as a midwesterner.
I am looking forward to chatting about writing with other mystery buffs here on Crimespace. I don't have tons of time to do this, but I will jopin the group as often as I can.
I see that you have attended some Mystery conferences. I am jealous, and I hope to go to one within the next year. I don't write as often as I should, and right now, I am wavering between spending the money on a good onlune Writing class, or on a Writers convention. Which would you suggest?
Hi, Luisa! I'm surprised how quickly you put up this beautiful page, too. I've tried to change the color on mine (about ten times) and it never takes. Some people have it, and some people don't!
Hi Lisa, I see that you were born in Chicago. Although I was born and spent most of my life in Los Angeles, I've been a life-long Cubs fan. The old L. A. Angels were the farm team for the Cubs. We even had our own Wrigley Field here, a smaller version of the one in your town. I love Chicago, but if I lived there I wouldn't be able to write. I'd spent the day shivering from the wind and cold. Good luck with you writing. If you ever get to Southern California, send me an email and I drive you around, take you to some great indie bookstores to sign.
