- 48 years old, married second time, 3 kids from the first go-round. I'm an RN, a voracious reader of a little bit of everything but love mysteries of all kinds, but am particular to historical mysteries. I'm a tree-hugging Pagan, love hard rock and metal music, live in jeans and t-shirts (don't even own a dress), have an irreverent sense of humor and dislike most television. Nuff?
- Books And Authors I Like:
- Oh Lordy. Favorite all-time author spanning all genres would be JRR Tolkein and The Lord of the RIngs is my favorite book. With regard to mysteries, I splash in many pools--can go from tea and crumpets to dead and maggoty equally well; from Mma Ramotswe to Dexter Morgan without batting an eye and enjoy them both equally. Agatha Christie and Ellis Peters are my favorite all-time authors. And Then There Were None and The Leper of St. Giles among my favorites of theirs. There are just way too many to list here. Easier to say who I don't like, but I'm not going to do that, either. :-)
- Movies And TV Shows I Like:
- Not a big TV fan--I usually get hooked on shows AFTER they've gone off the air. Currently the only 'active' show I watch regularly is The Dresden Files on sci-fi channel. Currently watching on DVD "Black Books" (a British sitcom), Veronica Mars season one, St. Elsewhere season one, Firefly.
Fave movies: Monty Python and the Holy Grail; Mystery Men; Dogma; Snatch; Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels; The 13th Warrior; Death to Smoochy; A Knight's Tale; Little Nicky; The Princess Bride; Fargo; Star Wars (all of em); Lord of the Rings (all of em), Harry Potter (all of em) and Bedknobs and Broomsticks.
