The crime fiction exchange market –1-

Hi, America! You gave us Coke and Chandler, Steely Dan and Silicon Valley. We gave you bavarian beer and BMW, Heidi Klum and Heidelberg. So let’s continue this fair trade. You got still a lot of fine crime fiction never translated into German. We also have some thrilling stuff.…

AS A NEWBIE

I'd like to send a warm welcome to everyone. Some old friends here, I guess...some old enemies, too (hi, Ludger!)...and, yes, there is a German crime scene...believe it or not...

bye

Or something like that. I see you are a Robert Littell reader, so I thought I would say hello. I have been writing about Littell on my internal and external blogs lately. Please join the discussion if you like, and please forgive my fractured language. Weider schauen, Jim

Welcome back, Anne. List might be a good place, I heard they're ambitious to establish a new line of crime fiction. But best of all: They will send me a review copy, too...wish you a friendly and boozy Criminale...

Wellwell, DPR, I think I have to teach you something about german wines - some of them are the best worldwide... but alas, we won't have a chance! At least not at the Criminale, where I am not expecting anything beside friends and booze!
My next novel will not be with Piper (that was just a two-books-sideline), but with List.
And I most definitely second your trade offer to the USA. Yes, America! We're here and there's some nice stuff as well!

Enjoy France! Don't work! I think you'll be right back to take the Glauser for your short story. Unfortunately I will not be there. But I am waiting for your new novel, Piper's having me on the list...and don't forget: life's too short to drink German wine.

Dear DPR,
"planst Du etwa einen neuen Roman???" Yes, dear, I am doing it again! And firemaking is my specialty - a little warmth, you know? (Don't remember I ever had you as a target...)
Frohe Ostern! Anne

Well, me obviously...but you also are experienced in firemaking, aren't you? Nice stay at France - or are you planning to write a new novel?
