Isobel Campbell and Mark Lanegan - Ramblin' Man

This is what happens when you add the sweet voice of Isobel Campbell (ex Belle and Sebastian) and the gravelly voice of Mark Lanegan (Screaming Trees and Queens Of The Stone Age) singing Hank Williams' brilliant Ramblin' Man from 1951, and then you throw in on top of that a ahem...crowd pleasing video...

She's the female voice you hear. They did an album together called Ballad Of The Broken Seas. I think she worte most of the tracks, but Lanegan wrote probably my favourite track off it - Revolver. It's here, but the video quality isn't good, which is why I put Ramblin' Man up.

I agree that the video is really self-centred. And it really doesn't go with the song at all, but I believe it's quite popular :o) I've not actually seen a Lanegan video that I've really liked. But I love his voice.

The tune itself is not bad at all...I like the garbage can din and crash (although it is all very Johnny Dowd sounding).

The video, on the other hand, it's just way too self-centered with all those pretty young hedonist fashionistas...and the pubic hair showings got old after the first flash.

I always liked Isobel Campbell's stuff with B&S...what's her contribution in this?
