You may recall my problems with uploading my books to Smashwords. I happen to be using my agency to help me publish those of my books electronically where we have the rights. At the moment that's four of the Akitada novels and a historical trilogy.
I'm happy to say that all the Akitada novels are on Kindle now and up on Amazon as of today. We had Kindle do it from printed versions, being careful to remove even dingbats that were the publisher's. Kindle still has a problem with columns. This shouldn't matter to most authors, but I have lists of characters at the beginning of the books. Still, even those turned out passable, and the rest of the books looks excellent. We set a price of 4.99 (Penguin charges 12.99). I used my own covers.
Will blog about the details later.

It's always best to get professional formatting done, I.J. Natasha Fondren at The eBook Artisans is excellent, if you ever need some help.
For a sample of what good formatting looks like, try this.
So how do I see the formatting?
You download the sample. If you don't have a Kindle, you can download the app free for your PC. And I'm sure Natasha can make your columns look however you want them to look.
That's the one for HELL SCREEN. (The other two are RASHOMON GATE and THE MASUDA AFFAIR).

Not sure if you are aware but it is listing as unavailable at the moment. Is it live yet?
It could be because I'm Aussie. Would be worth letting everyone buy it. I'm a big fan of not limiting the audience.
