a reader not a writer

I'm one of these people who works online and the border between work and pleasure is very blurred for me.

Books And Authors I Like:
I read almost only the crime/mystery genre. I prefer British writers but also enjoy translations such as Henning Mankell. I review books for Random House Australia and you can find my reviews at http://www.reviewers-choice.com/kerrie_smith.htm
Movies And TV Shows I Like:
My favourites are British crime/mystery/thrillers

Ah, the Aussies are all coming on board! Love the hairdo, Kerrie. :)
  • Karen from AustCrime

    Hi Kerrie

    Great photo! Love that bird.
  • Kerrie

I'm not sure why I have joined this! My online life is already full. Still how could I resist Karen's invitation :-)
  • Paul Guyot

    I like your hat.
  • Fran Read

You've changed since I last saw you, Kerrie!
  • Kerrie

You've all got such nice pictures of yourselves, but I can feel a make-over coming on- I'm not entirely happy as a galah. I might just confuse things by having a new 'face'
  • CT

    G'day Kerrie, I'm from Melbourne
  • Patricia

Hi Kerrie nice to see you!
  • Kerrie

I've just created my first blog posting. I've found the best tactic is to write it elsewhere (notepad etc) and then copy it into the blog form. Well, at least I got it posted this time
  • Kerrie

I don't think I've quite found the right look Andrea. I think I'll know when I see "me" but I may go through a few avatar changes yet. In fact I can feel one coming on right now... I fairness to my friends though I should probably stop being so picky and settle on one soon so they can spot me 'reliably'
  • LC Fraser

You look so pretty in pink though Kerrie. I like seeing your changing pictures of birds. If you get a 'real' one of you maybe you could keep these too in your picture area?
  • Lourdes Fernandez

    Hi Kerrie,
Glad to join the party! Glad you cleared up the avatar thing ...
  • Ann Cornellier

After the chat, perused the groaning piles, and selected The Broken Shore. Haven't got beyond page 15, but I have that wow feeling already,
  • Kerrie

changed my look again - this is friendlier than a galah isn't it? I'm happy now
  • sally906

Hi Kerrie - I've got me here - still have to fiddle with my profile - apparently it doesn't like me saying I'm not from the Untied states!!!!
  • Rose

    Kerrie!
    I can see you now.
    Love the picture.
  • David Magayna

    Hi Kerrie.
    Thanks for the friending.
As far as the Box, I put my photo slideshow there. To do that, I clicked the "View Embed code" link under the photo box, copied and pasted that code into the CS Box and saved. That put the photo slideshow up there. I'm not sure how to do anything else yet.
  • Kerrie

    Thanks David
I tried my slide show and it froze the page.
However I have worked out how to put some links up. You need to put the html code to get active links
  • Kerrie

I seem to know lots of 'cats' Kathy. It is interesting to see who is turning up here and what they say about themselves
  • LJ Roberts

Hi Kerrie. I love having a friend Down Under. I so new to all this. I got to you page by clicking your photo, which I love, on my chatterwall. My next step is to start putting up my reviews. It doesn't seem there is a way to to tags on blogs though. Oh well, bit by bit.
  • Kerrie

    Hello LJ

no - there is a tags thingy on forums, but not blogs which is a bit odd. Perhaps it will come eventually. Glad to see you here
  • CT

Just thought that I'd pop in and say hello Kerrie.
  • LJ Roberts

Hi Kerrie. Yes, I'll post my reviews as blogs. Each of my reviews are deliberately short, so I don't think it's a problem. Even so, It appears there is a certain length that will be visible on the page and then there is a "more..." link to see any text that goes beyond that length. Does that make sense? I'm just trying to figure out whether I want to go back and post back reviews or start from the beginning of 2007, or only start with current. Don't worry, I'll figure it out soon.
  • Jane Hill

Hi Kerrie - thanks for the reviews!
  • Michael Robotham

my mistake on the dates, Kerrie.
    I think I'm going mad.
Hope you can still make it.
