Hi Karen - nice to see another familiar name here. A fair few of the Moldy crowd have joined up so far.

This is all a bit high tech for me so please bear with me. I was a latecomer to blogging and still haven't upgraded to beta! Congrats to Daniel for making this such a success.
I had to upgrade the bandwidth for the Euro Crime website earlier this evening. I think it had been down for 2 or 3 hours. The statistics provided by my web host are nothing like and miles better (higher) than the sitemeter recorder so I'm quite chuffed that is seems to be going well.

    Hi Karen

You have a furry public face as do I. What's your kitty's name? It looks splendidly relaxed as, of course, cats do.

This is Toffee, sister to Pippa (formerly known as Treacle). She gets into some great poses!

    Hi Karen,

I just wanted to say thanks for your blog. It has been a great source of info for an anglophile like me. I found it earlier this month in Library Journal. I caught the first installment of Ian Rankin's serial because of your blog. On a much sadder note, I just found out that Jill McGown has passed away. She was one of my favs! Val's obit was perfect.

Thank you for your lovely comment. I'm so pleased that you're finding it useful.

I'd been on J McGown's mailing list and she'd been in and out of hospital so it wasn't a complete surprise but nonetheless very upsetting. Michael Didbdin's death was completely out of the blue and very sad too.

Have you entered the DVD competion on the blog/website as it's a Irish crime drama, only open to USA residents :-) ?
  • Rebecca26

I did not read Michael Dibdin, but I have friends who do. We were all shocked and upset by his death. Thanks for the heads up on the contest. I recently watched the Irish R.M. and I just love Bryan Murray.

Hi Karen, lovely to meet you finally, albeit briefly. Am now back in Tewkesbury, trying to build an ark.
