New Jersey born clinical psychologist Roberta Isleib took up writing golf mysteries to justify time spent on the links. Her first series, featuring a neurotic professional golfer and a sports psychologist, was nominated for both Agatha and Anthony awards.
The second book in Roberta's new series starring a Connecticut psychologist is now available from Berkley Prime Crime: PREACHING TO THE CORPSE, following the March release, DEADLY ADVICE.
She has published articles in Women's World of Golf, Golf for Women, Tee Time Magazine, Mystery Scene, and National Golfer. Her short stories have been published in Mysterical-E, Handheldcrime.com, RIPTIDE, and the upcoming Level Best anthology, SEASMOKE.
Roberta is the president of National Sisters in Crime and the past president of the New England chapter. She lives with her family in Connecticut.
Hi Roberta,
I think we met at some conference, maybe Malice. Great picture! I keep to the chatter as my first few days here I screwed up and made a complete fool of myself. I am still trying to figure things out, but then I was never at MySpace before last week. I need a teenager around to help me. No cancel that. Been there, done that. Good to "see" you!
Leann
Roberta,
Glad to see you here. BTW: I agree with Leann, the picture is really good -- warm, accessible, intelligent. Somehow no photog has been able to catch that in mine; should I take that as a sign?
Pari, it's all in finding the right photographer! this woman is a wizard with light--and she keeps taking them until she gets a good one.
howdy to all you friends! The new book is out and going well as far as i know, Nancy:) Joining another group to chat with should help get the next one done, right?? Roberta
Thanks for the "friending", Roberta. Good luck on your book. I'm hoping to get into the Berkley Prime Crime family, so I'm rubbing your home page for good luck. Sorry if I smeared it. :)
"In the hole!!" - kinda symbolic, wouldn't you say, as a professional shrink?! ... Tho' sport and sports psychology are (and I've reported on both) great settings for novels: really good concept ...
