I'm a freelance editor and translator of crime fiction. My passion is anything popular culture, from erotica to fantasy to crime. I love hard-boiled and queer crime. I am with Rotbuch Verlag Berlin which publishes the German edition of Hard Case Crime. My latest translation was a historical novel by debut author Barbara Pope, Cézanne's Quarry.
Current fave crime novels:
Lawrence Block, Grifter's Game (HCC), Oliver Bottini, Mord im Zeichen des Zen, Ken Bruen/ Jason Starr, Bust (HCC), Elisabeth Herrmann, Das Kindermädchen, Stephen L. Carter, New England White, Lionel Shriver, We Need to Talk about Kevin
Welcome, Lisa. Nice to see you here. My debut thriller, Switch, will be introduced to international publishers by Bantam UK at the London Book Fair in April. Looking forward to it.
Lovely to see a translator join in - I'm very partial to translators without whom I wouldn't be reading anywhere near the range of books that I love :)
Welcome Lisa. I was an Army house husband in Germany and taught a fifth grade class of German children in Wertheim in the 80's. It was a great experience. My son is stationed there now and plans on doing as many years there as they'll let him.
