Profile Information:

Hometown:
Houston, TX
About Me:
I've been an avid reader since I was three years old. Went through the Lord of the Rings when I was ten, using that trilogy to get through several English classes in junior high school. Began reading mysteries with the Hardy Boys, and there are days I still like going back to reading the one Hardy Boys book I still have.

Currently, I'm recovering from quadruple bypass surgery, and am on medical disability due to kidney problems. So, during my 5 1/2 hours of dialysis I read review books for I Love a Mystery and then write up the reviews for the site. I'm able to discover new authors or re-viist with old authors who are coming out with new works through the year.

Walking with my dog is down time for me, as it allows me to free the mind from the clutter of everyday stresses.
Books And Authors I Like:
Some of the authors I like include Tim Dorsey, James Rollins, Clive Cussler (Dirk Pitt series), Jack Du Brul (Philip Mercer series), Robert Crais, Ken Bruen, David Rosenfeldt, Paul Levine (re-reading the Jake Lassiter series now), John Harvey, Graham Hurley, James Lee Burke, Lee Child and so many more that I might run out of space.

Recent reads that I've enjoyed: One Night Stand by Roland Jefferson (review), Memorial Day by Vince Flynn (think 24 in book form), Death Match by Lincoln Child (dating services can provide murder for a price); reading now: Falling by Christopher Pike (kidnapping can be parental and fun); Black Angel by John Connolly (Parker and friends are traveling through woo woo land again); Excavation by James Rollins (trying to dig my way through the South American jungle and mountains).
Movies And TV Shows I Like:
Don't go to movies. And watch only sports on TV.

Sometimes I flip channels and get Sleuth on cable and will watch Medical Investigation or Miami Vice, but that is about the extent of my TV patience.

    Steven-
does Maddy know that you have her vault combination?
Does she pay off in books for you to keep her secret?
And what sort of chocolate, exactly?
    Why? Oh, no reason..........

    Hi Steven,
Hope the dialysis is going well. No problem about last night. Let me know how you like the books. The next book - Flight of the Hornbill - is written and with the editor. It ought to be out in late September, early October next year and I'll be back in Houston at MBTB to talk about it. Hope to see you then.
    Thanks for writing. Eric
