I am a first time author whose debut novel, "Improved Lies" opened to good reviews. My wife and I and our four big dogs live on the north coast of Jamaica. I drew from a 26 year trial pracitce, which included multiple murder trials, to create a mystery-legal thriller. My struggles as a lifetime 18 handicapper inspired the milieu for murder, acountry club tounament.
Hi and welcome!
Here I am stuck in cold Yorkshire. I hope you realise your photos nearly killed me with envy! What a beautiful place you live in. (lucky)!!!
Hi,
Your photos are killing me too. I'm sitting here waiting for 6 to 10 inches of snow to come our way. The biggest snow storm in Ky. in ten years. It's March! We should just be getting skiffs of snow.
Love the dogs....
Yes, I love your dogs! they'd eat mine in a gulp! by the way--I'm glad one of us is lucky about the climate! It's 40 F, low for 35. and oh yes--guess what?! Rain is forecast through Wednesday! but it's sort of not raining now so I'm taking Indiana Jones and Penny out for their walkies.
hope I get back before cloudburst. soak up the sun for us, will you?
I'll hang. forget spring here, sometimes during summer we need heat! Hey, let me put it this way, I know what killed Cathy in Wuthering Heights--THE WEATHER!
Charles Dickens got a boost from his novels serialization in London papers. Bay City Times is giving "Improved Lies" a similar lift. The paper is running an excerpt each Saturday with podcast read by yours truly. Try a free taste http://blog.mlive.com/baycitytimes_extra/featured_stories/
I have two dogs and you have four dogs and I know how much care they need each day. How about a story I heard on radio and you may have heard it too about a lady in Arizona, I believe. A lady lives in a triple wide trailer and she has about 800 dogs...I think I heard that they were mostly small dogs and that she took pretty good care of them. My two keep me on the run during the day and I can't imagine having that many dogs.
We had an instance close by where a couple was trying to take care of 100 dogs and it didn't turn out well. There were many very malnurished and sick.
Just thought I would give you some news from the mainland.
Hi Brian, Good to meet you and hope to get to know you better. Will check over your books as well. I just had a traier done for my latest book, A Mothers Torment and hope it helps in the sales. If it does, I'll have one done for the other books I have.....I think it came out pretty good and they did a good job with it. It's on this site and also on www.amotherstorment.com Let me know what you think of it if you get to see it. Shirley

Too many dogs= too little attention. Hate to have the feed bill for over a hundred pooches.
