About Me:
My Father introduced me to reading and writing as a child. I try to write something every day, often it's only a shopping list. I like to read and write in solitude, in warm coffee shops, and busy railway stations.

Ideas that spring to mind are inclined to spend some time incubating whilst doing gardening, watercolour painting and daydreaming, many of these ideas never reach maturity, but its fun engendering and developing them.

I admit to being a closet bohemian, I draw inspiration from walking by the sea and in woodland, and from fellow readers and writers. When I'm not reading or writing I can be found …procrastinating, listening to music, surfing – online, gardening or walking with my grandsons. I think sleep is a waste of precious time, and I'm never without the requisite company of a novel, note book and pen in my bag at all times.

    Hi Maria

As usual this could only happen to me. A wasp stung the top of my foot, in the garden, jerked foot up as you do, and brought it down on broken glass. But because of the pain of the sting, i didn't feel the glass, or thought it was part of the sting, the toe was cut to ribbons really really nasty, that was five six weeks ago, it was healing nicely, until the nurse cut some dead skin away on wednesday she must have nicked it because I now have a new cut where their wasn't one before. Became poisoned again, but district nurse in this morning and its healing. Thank God, so should be there. See you soon. Sheila Q
