I still practice employment law and write a legal columnist for Global Woman magazine. Pamela's third novel, MURDER ON THE DOWN LOW, will be released July 1, 2008.

Hi Pamela, I guess you checked it out. Welcome. I'm still getting the hang of this place, but I think it's going to be pretty good for us author types.

Yes, Kathryn was wonderful to do that writeup. We'll have a more information in MWA's upcoming newsletter. Hey, do you have any leads on folks who have an expertise in doing INTERESTING PowerPoint presentations? We are planning to do a new technologies workshop and mystery book promotion next year.
  • Sheila Connolly

Thanks for offering to help. I have to admit I'm clueless about promotion. But I'm willing to learn!

Pamela, Many people are talking about your seminar on how to make time to write. When you did it at Sisters in Crime, I took notes and follow them. Thanks.
  • Pamela Samuels-Young

Thanks Gayle. I'm looking forward to my upcoming, day-long seminar on September 29th. I feel like I have a lot of great information to pass along. When I started out I didn't know a thing about what I was doing. I hope to save folks from making all the mistakes I made and to show them how to write a novel while still holdin down a full-time job.

    Your so very welcome =)

Thanks! I didn't know the article was out yet. Perfect timing. My book made its debut today in Portland.

Amazing timing if you ask me as well as great publicity for your book. I'll be picking up a copy. At this moment, I'm writing a cop scene. When I'm done with my first draft, I may have a couple of questions for you. Hope you sell millions!

Hey! If a author writes a novel in the forest, and nobody reads it, did it make a sound?
I'm newt, slithering from the shallow end of the gene pool, into the open ocean. Sharks are likely to eat me before the salt water kills me, but who wants a quiet life?
  • pam ward

    Hi Pamela
Add me on. Hope all is toasty!
