Hey, Terry - welcome to Crimespace! This is where I first met Glen Allison who was also at Killer Nashville this weekend. I got a lot out of the conference. Glad you had a safe trip home.

I forgot to ask - what is Bad Lt.?
  • Lee Lofland

Hi Terry. If you get a chance, stop my workshops while you're at the conference in Columbus. I'm presenting two on Friday and one on Saturday. I'm also on a panel on Sauturday.
  • Lee Lofland

    Great! I'll look for you.

Hi Terry. About Lulu and my efforts to publish Eureka Point through traditional publishing methods. Well, I sent my manuscript to Publish America and it was accepted, but I have not signed the contract because I heard some very negative things about them. I was going to go with Authorhouse, heard a lot of good things, but I could not come up with the almost $800.00 to do it (yet). So I thought maybe I'd just take the Lulu route just to get it out, but I'm unsure at this point what is the best thing for me to do. Any suggestions or feedback would be appreciated. Thanks! Betty Ann

OK, what's Killer Nashville? Is this something I should know about and attend? I write romantic suspense.

Terry, I'm more likely to travel to Nashville than Ft. Lauderdale, but thanks for the information. Maybe I'll see you there next year!

Terry, as a fan of all of those guys, I hope you know about the Yahoo list Rara_Avis ... excellent discussion about hardboiled and noir.

Not sure if you've read *No Country for Old Men* but it's another of Cormac McCarthy's winners. The last 40 pages have little to do with the story, but they do explain the title. Because of his strong writing, I couldn't stop reading until I reached the end.

Your choices of writers, terrific, movies, not too shabby either. I've been trying to get a DVD of *Memento,* but none of the local Blockbusters have it.

    Hi Terry,

Thanks for the invite. I would like to attend Killer Nashville next time. I am building a summer place 90 miles east.

I like your author list (sounds like mine!). I'd like to recommend you take a look at the late, great Fredric Brown. Also James Sallis' *Drive* is brief, but masterful.

I took two runs at *Fortress of Solitude*. Still in the To-Be-Read pile, but towards the bottom now.
  • L.J. Sellers

    Hi Terry
I see that Michael Connelly is at the top of your list too.
What did you think of The Overlook?

    Terry,
Glad you enjoyed my story and thanks for the support and invite. BTW your authors list rocks!!!
