Profile Information:

Hometown:

About Me:
Mid-50s, silver hair, beard, specs, and a home library that is, and always will be, too small. I have some successful plays written, and am currently at work on a novel about other writers' heroes, and a WW1 novel, which is based on one of my plays. Married, 3 cats, two sons, two step-sons. Rugby and cricket fan, arthritic, but am doing my first half-marathon soon. Folly reigns. Best crime writer? John Connolly rocks, James Lee Burke rolls, and The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency is superb. Thanksyou, Mr McCall-Smith. If Agatha Christy wasn't already dead, I'd hire a hitman.
I Am A:
Reader, Writer
Books And Authors I Like:
John Connolly, James Lee Burke, Alexander McCall Smith, Stephen Hunter, Bernard Cornwell, Frank Miller, Greg Bear, Dan Simmonds, David L Robbins, and about a hundred others.
Movies And TV Shows I Like:
Bones (giggle), Dexter (guffaw), Life on Mars (coolest concept), NCIS (major larfs).

I go to the movies at least once a week, and pulling out favourites ain't easy. Just about anything that includes an explosion, but I'm also entranced by fantasy flicks, Sci Fi, anything by Mr del Toro. And Peter Jackson. And if I have to sit through another American Rom Com, I may well try self immolation.

What a great profile. I like Alexander McCall Smith. I found a half-marathon to be just the right distance, but love your note 'folly reigns.'

    Very funny.
I think we might be on to something here!
There's a popular and entertaining series of cozies that feature the protagonist, Agatha Raisin--!
But a spoof play would be a riot!
Picture it now: Murder By Cozie, Killing Agatha and how about Murder on The Torquay Express?! She was born in Torquay! I like Murder on the Torquay Express best!!
