How short does the list have to be? My library is filled with classics- Shakespeare to Hemingway, and a lot of not so classic yet, but one day will be.
Movies And TV Shows I Like:
All the L&O shows, House, and Bob Villa... because a girl ought to know how to replace an old porch.
House ... I have a love-dislike relationship with that show. After a while, all complicated diseases sound alike ... and have simpled solutions someone should have thought of in the first fifteen minutes ... but I love the characters.
Can you show me how to fix a porch? Because this boy hasn't got a clue ...
PS: Just been reading your blog - superb stuff. You were quite right about that appalling Brit judge, but then, our judges have gone collectively insane in recent years, as their obsession with placing the human rights of known terrorists on such a high level that known killers go free also demonstrates ... But you were equally good, from the opposite angle, as it were, on the false allegations of rape in the Duke case. Genuine balance! I thought that had long since disappeared ...
In general, I'm a big admirer of the way law officers in the US have to be elected by the community they serve ... but the Duke case seemed like an illustration of what can happen when that system goes horribly wrong ...
I have at least 5 copies of my new book, HONEYMOON FOR THREE, to give away to Crimespace members. Let me know if you are interested. I will need addresses of the winners. My email address is alcook@sprintmail.com.
Incidentally, Lilo was the name of the French lead in Can-Can when I saw it on Broadway in 1955. I recently saw a revival--but, unfortunately, Lilo wasn't in it.
My book, The Beatitudes, is a paranormal thriller set in New Orleans. It will be out in the fall and I am donating all royalties directly to the New Orleans Public Library Foundation. Libraries support the infrastructure of a great city, so I have started The Beatitudes Network to promote awareness of the importance of public libraries in NOLA.
The blogsite www.beatitudesinneworleans.blogspot.com describes the Network, has excerpts from The Beatitudes, recipes, and more. Merci mille fois. Lyn Lejeune.
Writers, please pass the word…..it’s for a good cause….don’t let the libraries of New Orleans or the US go the way of The Great Library of Alexandria.
