Thank you! The decision to blog (writer's platform I'm told) was an arduous road. I had to be passionate about the subject or purpose of my site or the maintenance would be problematic. When my dear Rhea passed, I new that this new life journey would drive the creative juices for some time. Many people have shared the same loss. I am glad that you liked it.
I will check out chapter one of First Blood.

  • Bennett Kremen

Thanks Johnny for your interest in my bio. I see you're a retired police officer so I know you'll understand perfectly the full reality of the cold blooded violence and intensity of my novel, Savage Days Haunted Nights, recreating mafia life out on the streets of Chicago and New York. It's a vivid and unrelenting crime story, but much more than that because it probes deep into the very meaning of morality itself. Again, thanks.

Hi Johnny! Will I be seeing you at the next Vegas conference of PSWA? My sister lives in La Mesa, I'm always traveling down that way to visit her. Check out the mystery cruise PSWA members Denny Griffin, Jack Miller and I are putting together. I posted some photos on my page.

Hi Johnny, yes, I suppose you're right this is one of those references that would be a good fit for my personal blog :-) Thanks for having a look at it. I discovered this forum purely by accident yesterday as I was trying to satisfy my curiosity about Lilian Jackson Braun. This looks like a place I'll want to spend more time with once I finish building the framework for my online efforts. I recently left print media advertising sales and am trying to get all the ideas that have been in my head out here on the Internet, a lot of work. When I'm a little more caught up I'll be coming back here to explore. Thanks for reaching out.

Actually, I'm suppose to autograph and send you a copy. Still waiting for them to arrive at my house. I was delighted when my publisher told me of your request. Now you've had a taste of my humor in the Christmas letter, you know what to expect!
  • Johnny Russell

    Can't wait
  • J.m. Diaz

Hey Johnny. Thank you for the welcome. Where do you live that is devoid of fireflies?
  • Johnny Russell

West coast man, we don't have em.
  • Sunny Frazier

    Johnny,
Sunny Frazier here. The new copies of WHERE ANGELS FEAR has come out and I'm to send you an autographed copy. So, what is your snail-mail address? I'm hoping to get a ride to the post office mid-week. Still can't drive with a fractured arm.
  • Marilyn Meredith

Hey, Johnny, have you thought about coming to the PSWA writers conference. Cool music!

    Marilyn
  • Richard Godwin

    Thank you Johnny.
Great sound here too, piano sounds like Chick Corea and the sax is great.
  • Sunny Frazier

Did I hear a rumor that you will be attending the PSWA conference at least for one day? Am interested in meeting you at long last.
  • Sunny Frazier

Yeah, I love Lennie. She's based on a girlfriend I hung around with in the Navy. She got me in LOTS of trouble! And I was such a nice girl too! We're still friends after 39 years. And she's still crazy!
  • Sunny Frazier

We're getting mixed reports about the shooting. Some say all three are dead, some say one deputy is dead and the police officer is on non-reversible life support. They sent a robot into the trailer and the shooter is dead, they believe he killed himself. Minkler only has a population of 30 and a general store.
  • Victoria Dougherty

    Thanks, Johnny. Good luck.
  • Victoria Roder

    Hi Johnny,
I finally had a chance to see your new video. It is awesome! Wishing you much success.

    BEST P. I. ON TV:

    1. RICHARD DIAMOND, PRIVATE EYE - Starring David Janssne
    2. HARRY O' - Starring David Janssen
    3. ROCKFORD FILES - Starring James Garner
    4. MAGNUM, P. I. - Starring Tom Selleck
    5. KOJAK - Starring Telly Savalas
    6. COLUMBO - Starring Peter Falk

Just an opinion. Of course, I'm biased - David Janssen was my friend.
  • Jo A Hiestand

I know! I plan on phoning in with a question. But thanks for reminding me -- the day's been a tad hectic, and it never hurts to give the ole brain a nudge! jo
  • Jo A Hiestand

I've read her book. Actually, I read it in ms form before she sent it to her publisher. I cried and laughed -- it is so wonderful. Gives you hope, even tho it is a sad thing that happened to her.
  • MC - Tina

I remember the trailer, Johnny. O liked it but now I have to find out how to vote for it. Give me a few mins. to do that. Best! Tina
  • MC - Tina

Thanks 4 agreeing 2 view my trailer, JR. Let me know whatcha think. Snazzy Grim Reaper, wouldn't U say? lol
  • MC - Tina

Thanks, Johnny! Appreciate the vote, comments and all. That was good of you to do that for me.

As for the trailer, it was more my need at trying my hand at producing lol. Also, my dream is to see my screenplay adapted books make it to screen hence that kind of a trailer. We'll see if it works. Either way, it was fun making the trailer. Thanks again.
