Great cover. Good thing I don't drink. Might get shot in the glass. Is that what they call a shot glass?
There are many newspapers where you can place free ads for your books. Start with Northern Express and the Oregonian. there are links to other papers. You can even upload cover art and photos for free.

Happy New Year to you too! I hope it's a super one for you! I'll be in your town New York - and my favorite city - in July at ThrillerFest. If you're there, say hello ...
Like Julia, I received a message that you ahd sent me a message, but I can't find your message. Of course, I also supposedly have one new friend request, but when I click to view the request, nothing happens. Perhaps CrimeSpace had too much to drink for New Year's Eve and is feeling queasy.
In any case, happy new year.

Hi Liz,
Congratulations on your book. It's a great cover. There's nothing that matches getting that first novel into print. Now the games really begin. Is Death Will Get You Sober a stand-alone or first in a series? We exchanged notes before: my protag is a recovering alcoholic who owns a parking garage, and her dad is a compulsive gambler. Hmmmmm I do seem to like addictions. They do make interesting characters. I thought I was writing a stand-alone, but now I'm struggling to come up with book 3. I hope I haven't burnt too many bridges. I sure didn't do it the easy way. Best of luck!
I'm rushing out to my New Year's Eve date (dinner and a movie with hubby, and if we're lucky, we may catch most of the fireworks at midnight in Central Park, a block from the theater), so can't answer individual comments tonight, but I'm charmed by the fact that some of you are writing to me from January 1, 2008, when it's only 7:30 pm on the 31st, 2007 in New York. Am I in a time machine? Are you really contacting me from next year? Or are we all in Daniel's Australian time here on CrimeSpace? Catch ya next year, and a wonderful 24 hours and 365 days to all of you. :)
Joylene, let me know if you ever fulfill that New York City dream. I feel so lucky to have the fun of MWA and SinC chapter meetings, opportunities to "dress to kill" for the Edgars, an occasional 20-minute run to hand deliver a manuscript to an agent or editor, and events like the New Year's Eve fireworks in Central park and the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade just a short walk away.
Hi Elizabeth, just got an email that you had left me a comment, but there was none. Mistake maybe, glitch in the system? Well, best wishes. anyway.
Len
Congratulations, Elizabeth, on making it into print. A huge achievement - so many obstacles to overcome. I tried submitting to St Martin's but find I need a literary agent and the site they referred me to demanded a huge subscription. So, any ideas on agents in the US handling our genre? May the book sell well. Cheers, Tony
Thank you Liz, & Happy Valentines's Day to you also.
Today we (in Australia) witnessed history when the Prime Minister apologised to our indiginous peoples for the wrongs done to them over the generations. Very moving (how often can you say that about government)
Hi Liz...congratulations on the debut buzz. The reviews are sterling. And if titles sell books, yours is a sure best seller! I'm looking forward to reading it..........Lois
Hi Elizabeth! :-) : Really enjoyed reading about you and your books and blogs (busy, talented, friendly - I'm sticking out my arms for a cyber hug )
I'm about an eyelash above computer illiterate but love to write and also enjoy 'meeting' new writers and readers. I appreciate all the talented writers who have (and still are) giving me such good reads and entertainment - not to mention broadening my education.
Nice to meet you,
Jackie Griffey
PS: To get to info about me just Google and click to where you want to go (if they asked for a footprint, you can bet I'd be trying to figure out how to do that too...LOL
I htought i had a message from you. At least that's what the e-mail said, but I didn't find one. Good luck with the novel, I'm happy for you about the Booklist review. Ciao camilla
You have some great reviews. Hope your launch party is a big success. I'm having one Saturday for The Marathon Murders. Although it's my fourth book, it will be my first launch party. It'll be in the restored showroom of Marathon Motor Works, the long-defunct company featured in the book. My wife is working on refreshments, but we have no idea how many people might show up. That adds a little mystery.
Crimespace ate my message! Just wanted to say thanks, and the same to you. And congratulations on the book and the positive response to it - I know I'm such a worrier getting those first few reviews out of the way is a huge relief!
Hi Liz, thanks for the good wishes. Congratulations on the nice Booklist review. That's fantastic! It was a Booklist review that put my first novel Thicker Than Blood on the road to success. I'll keep fingers crossed for you with Death WIll Get You Sober. Keep fingers crossed for me as well. My agent tells me there's an offer from a NY publisher on my 4th novel Eye of the Mountain God and interest from several others. When does your book hit the stands?
Hi Elizabeth
I'm glad to see another writer who likes to get outside and sweat and/or soak up sun.
I look forward to reading your novel. I've been sober for nearly two decades, but rehab is always an issue for someone in my family.
