About Me:
I started my writing career as a screenwriter. I sold two feature film scripts, but neither was produced (I can't understand why; my agent assured me that romantic comedies about serial killers set in the world of professional arm wrestling were the next big thing). For a long time I wanted to switch to writing novels, so I finally did. I recently finished writing my first book, THE TIDE STATION.

    Thanks for the invite!

Hi Patrick: Noting that you're self-described as an ex-screenwriter. I recommend Terrill Lee Lankford's *Earthquake Weather* and *Blonde Lightning*. I think you'll appreciate his, uh, irreverent look at the film industry.

'sup Patrick - welcome aboard the good ship crimespace.

I'm in a similar place to you - a screenwriter who wants to be a novelist. Good luck with finding a placement for your book, and keep us informed. Maybe your story will inspire me to move back to novel land.

Good luck with getting an agent...harder than a publisher frequently but with extreme patience and pereseverance you will connect. I did. Bruce Forester

Gook luck on the agent shopping. Have you check agentquery.com? wonderful resource and free. My book, The Beatitudes, is a paranormal thriller set in New Orleans. It will be out in the fall and I am donating all royalties directly to the New Orleans Public Library Foundation. Libraries support the infrastructure of a great city, so I have started The Beatitudes Network to promote awareness of the importance of public libraries in NOLA.
The blogsite www.beatitudesinneworleans.blogspot.com describes the Network, has excerpts from The Beatitudes, recipes, and more. Merci mille fois. Lyn Lejeune.

Hey guys, there's a message on the front page about the friends issue. And just to let you know, Crimespace doesn't have a spellchecker: that would be the one in your browser. :)

    Welcome aboard!

Hey, thanks, Patrick! It's a real up and down business, isn't it? I'm so impressed you've sold screenplays! I'm shopping one right now and trying to break into that end of writing a bit. It's... slow. :)
