One of MY favorite authors is Sebastien Japrisot, particularly his shocking L'Ete Meutrier. Plus, Maurice Leblanc, of course.
I see you read Jeff Deaver. He was great insupporting me with his good wishes for the success of my 'Jack the Ripper' novel, released in 2008 by Double Dragon Publishing, in both paperback and digital versions. He appears in my acknowledgements.
Greeting from your sister city of New Orleans. Glad to hear you read a lot of thrillers. My book, The Beatitudes, is a paranormal thriller set in New Orleans. It will be out in the fall and I am donating all royalties directly to the New Orleans Public Library Foundation. Libraries support the infrastructure of a great city, so I have started The Beatitudes Network to promote awareness of the importance of public libraries in NOLA.
The blogsite www.beatitudesinneworleans.blogspot.com describes the Network, has excerpts from The Beatitudes, recipes, and more. Merci mille fois. Lyn Lejeune.
Writers, please pass the word…..it’s for a good cause….don’t let the libraries of New Orleans or the US go the way of The Great Library of Alexandria. P.S. just posted an excerpt on my page here on crimespace.
Hello! Just had to drop you a line. I visited Paris a few years ago, and thought it was the most beaufiful city I have ever seen in my life. I was born in New York, livedin Manhattan until I went to England to marry. London, New York--both great cities, but Paris! My, but you're lucky. YOu certainly read a lot! all the best to you!
The truth is I live nearby rue Vieille du Temple, but I could'nt find a sign of my own street on the net... so I picked rue vieille du Temple (the street comes lead to the Monastery of the Knights Templar in the 13th century... and nobody found their treasure yet !).
By the way, what was that thriller with rue Vieille du Temple ? (The last one from Barry Eisler, which i did not read yet ?)
What a coincidence. I was going to use Rue Vieille du Temple as a location in Accident man, then happened to be reading another thriller in which it featured and thought, 'Damn! Better get another Rue!' Pity. Seemed like a great part of town ...
Thank you for your welcome message ! I had already read the summary of your book on the rapsheet.blogspot and thought it looked great. I will certainly get it in the english bookshop WH Smith rue de Rivoli in Paris, a few meters only from Place de la Concorde.
Bonjour Mirmont, bienvenu a Crimespace! Since my debut thriller is set, in large part, in Paris and I'm currently in a villa just outside Nice, I guess its appropriate that I should be your first 'ami' ...
