About Me:: what's there to say but I'm just Kevin, a struggling writer of crime/supernatural, Irish-Australian and a film maker as well as a writer/scriptwriter. I find writing crime quite fun. I've a BA to my name in media/writing. Used to be a radio announcer (until I was unfairly fired), worked as a media officer for a music industry, also as a media officer for the Young Labour party, Clerical shit for a department store in Sydney (which was haunted), being a hippie, surfer, punk, being in a rock band where I was nominated for a local award as the best new songwriter/vocalist (2001), studied Film making in both Uni and TAFE, travelled the world twice (hitched in some pretty dangerous places), and now I'm a P/T journo for a local rag (writing true ghost stories and legends of the local area) but I'm really into writing crime/supernatural :)

Problems with rejections

Can't believe it. This is the 20th time I've had my story rejected. Talking about lowering your self esteem. I know keep trying but it's bloody hard. Sometimes I wonder if those editors can read. Or is there something wrong with my story. I've re written it, re written it, rewritten it about ten billion billion billion times and still they don't like it. Make me want to strangle the effers :(

Hah I'm the only Aussie here

G'day possums...okay, first thing first, we don't call ourselves possums here. It's either Drongo, Galah, or China Plate (as in Mate). What's the purpose of me writing here...oh, yeah, to talk about writing crime. I'm only the new kid on the block (no, no, no, not that poofy band Gawd sake!!), new to crime writing.
