About Me:
I'm a pastor, part-time income tax preparer, part-time author, and fan of mystery novels.

For what it's worth, I have one published novel: THE BURGER BARN ON SUNSET (2004, College Station, TX: Virtualbookworm.com). It is a story of a pastor whose wife ran off with a parishioner, the trigger that caused his church to fire him. Disgusted with the church, he takes a job as a night counter worker in a fast food restaurant. From there, he gets into management, and then is shipped (on less than 24 hours notice) to manage the company's restaurant in Hollywood. His first day there, the police attempt to arrest, and shoot and kill, one of his counter workers for selling illegal drugs (pardon the pun) over the counter.
The rest of the story is about how he copes with trying to clean up his restaurant's sorry history as a place where pushers can buy drugs, wholesale, and make peace with his own life.
He finds his way back to a church, there meets a woman his age whose husband walked out on her after a year-long affair with her best friend, and who has been similarly hurt. She is an apprentice P.I.
Together, they solve the crimes, develop a relationship, and explore what it means to try to be faithful to the tenets of their religion while falling in love.
It's available on my website, www.thomashgriffith.com.

I'm an active member of the Los Angeles Chapter of Sisters in Crime, a member of Mystery Writers of America and Romance Writers of America, and one who enjoys Left Coast Crime as a mystery conference.

...mostly because I don't think I have all that much intelligent to say on any regular basis.

I do, however, like to read mystery novels. I just finished Craig Johnson's new novel, "Kindness Goes Unpunished," after seeing Craig (again) at a book signing. Interesting guy, who is very quiet about the fact that he more than just a cowboy who used to be a cop. He has a Ph.D. in playwriting. He commented that the difference in speaking styles of his various characters (a very profane… Continue
