Profile Information

Hometown:
Adelaide, Australia
About Me:
Kansas-born, Australian-based lover of good books, good homemade pizza, and good tequila - usually mixed together - not necessarily in that order - and of course consumed responsibly. I tell lies for a living in the form of writing screenplays and thrillers, but otherwise exaggerate as little as possible, except when it comes to how good my pizza is, which of course is terrific. Having grown up on the prairies of eastern Kansas, I have wide open spaces in my brain. Wait a minute...that didn't come out right. I meant to say - I love wide open spaces. I also love the vibrant colors of nature, and prefer early morning walks with the dawn just breaking over the horizon... an uncluttered horizon I can actually see. I also love obscure information and old maps and libraries with collections of unusual books on racks in the basement. And - yes - I do believe fact is stranger than fiction, which means there is a unending supply of stories just waiting to be spun.

G'day

Just wanted to introduce myself and say G'day. Originally from Kansas, I'm an American married to an Aussie and living in Adelaide, South Australia. I discovered Crimespace through a writing colleague - Jordan Dane - who is one of the coolest people I know. My son is a sergeant in the US Marines who has been to Iraq twice, winning a medal there for heroism under fire. Looking forward to meeting lots of you. Cheers from Down Under.

You're awesome, Jordan. Thanks. Yes - we'll be launching at G'day LA - the big Australia promotional week that last year honored Russell Crowe, Naomi Watts, and the late "Crocodile Hunter," Steve Irwin. That will be in January, although the book is hitting the Amazon shelves in October. I do have a couple of casual film inquiries, but there is SOOO much BS in H'wood, that I'm not holding my breath. So until then, I guess I'll be holding my breath...!

Jim--If you want to hear me scream, I can do that for you anytime, bud. I haven't heard about audio yet. We're still working foreign sales. When does your launch start? In LA, right? And with your notable prior success, I'm smelling film rights. Best wishes, my friend.

Hey Jim---Great to see you here on Crimespace and thanks for the generous plug on your website. After having the privilege of reading The Identity Factor, your new book should be a smashing success and it couldn't happen to a nicer and more talented guy. Best wishes on your book launch!!

Hey! If a author writes a novel in the forest, and nobody reads it, did it make a sound?
I'm newt, slithering from the shallow end of the gene pool, into the open ocean. Sharks are likely to eat me before the salt water kills me, but who wants a quiet life?
