Mystery Scene Magazine (est. 1985) offers lively, expert coverage of the entire crime, mystery and suspense field. In addition to articles, essays, profiles, and opinion pieces, the magazine offers an extensive array of audio, film, TV and book reviews.

Our regular review columns are: Small Press Reviews by Betty Webb; Audiobooks by Dick Lochte; Reference Books by Jon L. Breen; Papberback Originals by Lynne Maxwell; Short Stories by Bill Crider. In addition to all this, our Mystery Scene Reviews section covers over 50 novels per issue.

Other regular columns include: "EyeWitness, covering all things PI, by Kevin Burton Smith; and "Gormania" by former Mystery Scene editor Ed Gorman; and a humor column by Louis Phillips.

Kate Stine and Brian Skupin are co-publishers of Mystery Scene. Kate is also editor-in-chief. Brian Skupin writes the popular "What's Happening With?" column which catches up with favorite writers who've dropped out of sight for a while. Brian also runs the magazine’s extensive website.

In 2006, Kate and Brian received the Ellery Queen Award for significant contributions to mystery publishing for their work on Mystery Scene.
