The day after Christmas I’ll look for you during my last book signing of the year, at the Borders Express in White Marsh Mall. From noon until 4pm I’ll be greeting all the folks returning unwanted gifts and taking advantage of the bargains after the shopping season. Please stop by the store at 8200 Perry Hall Boulevard, Baltimore, MD for an autographed novel.

I like to share feedback I get on my novels. Today I want to introduce you to Greg Tafe.
Greg works on Eye Street in Washington DC and needed something to read on the Metro during his commute. He bought a copy of The Payback Assignment, and later wrote to tell me how much he enjoyed it. He told me he has already started the sequel, The Orion Assignment. I’m very happy to feature this action fan’s comments as this week’s featured review on my web sight. -…

In our mobile society, many of us live far from our parents and other relatives. Yet those people often hold our fondest memories. For that reason, Christmas is a time when you get homesick - even when you're home.
Pretty wrapped presents can’t substitute for those loved faces. So do yourself a favor and gather as many of your relatives in one place as you can this holiday season. As Burton Hillis said, the best of all gifts around any Christmas tree is the presence of a happy family…

Since my last newsletter I met a lot of readers. First, I and two other authors whose work is featured in the holiday mystery anthology, “The Gift of Murder,” spoke to a group of book lovers at the Reston Regional Library. That audience included several authors so we got a lot of support as well as great questions.
After that I had a very successful book signing at Waldenbooks in Hanover PA. I sold out in an hour and a half in this first visit there, and I suspect they’ve ordered…

I like to share feedback I get on my novels. Today I want to introduce you to Charlie Cook
Charlie is a retired college professor who read my first adventure novel, The Payback Assignment, and wrote to tell me how impressed he was with the research I’d done for the book. Much of the info on locations is from personal experience, but I appreciate a fan noticing the little details. He also said Felicity O’Brien reminded him of the blond thief in the show “Leverage”. While I see…

This is the time of year that I increase my marketing activity, because this is when people are looking for gift ideas and I don’t want them to forget how much their friends and family love
good books. Web sites and e-mails are fine, but nothing takes the place of being out in public. I go to the readers…

First, a reminder of tonight's book signing at the Borders Express in Dulles Town Center, at 21100 Dulles Town Cir, Sterling, VA, from 5 pm to 9 pm.
Since I updated you last I had my last book signing at the Borders Express in Wheaton Mall before it closes. If you’re near there, stop by and pick up the last few copies of my novels at a nice discount.
I also signed some novels at the Borders Express in Ronald Reagan National Airport. Traffic was down from last year, but we…

It’s a busy time of year for book promotion. Tonight I’ll join two other authors whose work is featured in the holiday mystery anthology, “The Gift of Murder” at the Reston Regional Library. Starting at 6:45 we’ll spend an hour or so talking about our holiday short stories, how we got involved with this project to help the Toys for Tots foundation. We’ll also answer questions about mystery writing and anything else pertinent that comes up. And of course, we’ll sign copies of the book for anyone…
