I'm straddling publishers at the moment: Grand Central Publishing will put out my second Annie Seymour book, SECONDHAND SMOKE, in paperback in November, and NAL/Obsidian will be publishing the third in the series, DEAD OF THE DAY, at the same time.

But their covers will make them look like they're from two different series.

My editor told me that my new book covers were going to get a makeover because of the publisher changeover, and I was pretty excited about it. And curious. I've loved my book covers so far, bright colors and all Janet Evanovich-y, standing out on the book shelves. But while the makeover was pretty extreme, I am thrilled with the result. This third book in the series has a lot more action, more suspense. And the cover reflects that.

Because of the new cover and new publisher, I also decided that maybe a new look at my website was called for, too. My friend Mike Jones at Webkazoo did a fabulous job, and you can see it here at www.kareneolson.com.

Nice look! Bet it helps you as an author to get something fresh--sort of gets the old writer juices flowing.

Change is always good, especially in an ever-changing world. Lookin' . . . . good!

Great cover and great website, Karen! I'd say the makeover was a success!
