Digital short Saturday The Breaker Series: The Intro-Signed, Sealed, and Delivered

Welcome to what is becoming one of our most followed posting days, Digital short Saturday. I enjoy reading the digital shorts so much; it is a nice break in the weekly reading schedule. This week I found a gem and I wanted to highlight this one. The
Breaker Series is something that I stumbled onto this week on Smashwords. It
was released on Sunday and already this bad boy is making noise and waves on
many of their lists. This is one of the highest rated downloads and it is put
out by Floyd Buck Periwinkle from Trestle Press. Buck will be guest posting
with us next week, look for it please. Why didn’t I say Floyd, well if you read
the digital short, it will tell you right in the beginning.

Here is the description from Smashwords for the first installment in this series. Quick Note on that from Periwinkle and Trestle Press before it slips my mind: they have
four more digital shorts ready to go and will be uploading them very soon. The
titles as we go to posting are: Every Vote Counts, The Past Hurts, Really!,
Take two Literally and Redemption. Here is the synopsis from Smashwords:” Welcome
to my world! I, Floyd Buck Periwinkle am a state certified lawn care
technician. My job is to make sure that I kill every weed, insect, and disease
that I find. Insects and diseases come in many forms. Trust me, this story is
not just about how to make your lawn green and weed free. Enter my twisted
reality at your own risk!”

Trust me on this; it is not what it seems. There are some twists and turns here that one is not expecting. Humor is injected, a few characters are introduced, and the table is set for some fun in future
installments, or so it may seem. I think it is a nice introduction piece. The
5700 plus words do a nice job of getting us into the world of the Breaker and I
am pleased to say that I have read the next two installments and they go a long
way in fleshing out the characters. I have quickly become a big fan of the
series.

We are fast approaching the time when a certain Jolly Guy comes to visit and when it comes list time for my top digital shorts for this year, The Breaker is going to have at least one or two in the top ten. That is
how strong I feel about them. Want to learn a few things about lawn care and
